Reagan Rose was the founding President of ASC in 2013, and is currently pursuing a doctoral degree in statistics at Harvard University. Her research focuses on problems in causal inference in health, quantitative social science, and using text as data. After completing her doctoral program, Reagan hopes to pursue a career as a data scientist.
Kyle Asano is a Business Data Analyst at Dun & Bradstreet (NYSE: DNB), and former Vice President of Programs at ASC. A co-organizer of the 2014 IBM Watson Case Competition, he was also the Vice Prisident of Operations at Global Brigades at Marshall, and previously interned at PT. Sriboga Ratu Raya in Indonesia. He earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration (minor in Enterprise Information Systems) from USC Marshall in 2014, and continues to be involved with ASC and other Greater LA nonprofits.
Daniel Wang is a contractor on the data team at LinkedIn, and former Vice President of Finance
at ASC. When studying at USC, he was also a member of the University of Statistical Champions team that won the Best Data Visualization award at Datafest in 2013. Daniel earned his Bachelor’s in Business Administration and Accounting from USC Marshall in 2014.
Ashley is a class of 2014 alumna, graduating with a B.A. in Applied Math and Economics, magna cum laude, Order of Troy. She was part of the original Executive Board that founded USC Applied Statistics Club, and is now a Data Scientist at Verizon, where her team is responsible for the analytics that drive everyday decision-making. Her role includes a variety of tasks, including statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and text mining. On any given day you might find her scribbling logic on a notepad, giving a presentation, or coding in SQL, R, SAS, SPSS Modeler, Teradata Aster, or Hadoop. Work aside, in her spare time she enjoys cooking, hanging out in coffee shops, and taking long walks outside.
Beixi is a 2015 graduate majoring in Econ/Math with a minor in Business Finance. She was the vice president of Public Relation in ASC, and she will be joining KPMG Financial Advisory practice. In her free time, Beixi likes to play tennis, watch movies, and work out.
